User and Functional Administrator Workshop

Duration: 2 days

Course Outline: The Componize user workshop provides you with a first hands-on experience of using Componize for Alfresco. The workshop covers all of the end-user features such as metadata and link management, output processing and versioning. The functional administator workshop includes an introduction to content management and curation, modeling common space, and automation (workflows and content rules).

Objectives: At the end of the training the trainee can:

  • Optimize, organize and maintain the content in Componize for Alfresco
    including importing/exporting
  • Select the best archiving methods and formats
  • Design and maintain the common templates
  • Customize the publishing pipelines (formats, stylesheets…)
  • Maintain the organization taxonomy
  • Maintain groups of users and permissions
  • Select the best out of the box workflows for the reviews and sign offs
  • Further automate notifications, workflows, and copy/imports
  • Create good practices and procedures for their end-users

Project Kick-off Day

Duration: 1 day

Course Outline: The Kick-off day will put your team on track to start working together, share and reuse content and start making choice regarding DITA authoring.

  • Start a DITA style guide with the authoring team
  • Design and share templates and good practices
  • Decide on branching strategy
  • Start work on workflows improvements

Objectives: Provides DITA basics and guidance on points to consider for your DITA migration and implementation with Componize.

NOTE: Training on the DITA standard is available upon request. Highly recommended in addition to the User training.

System Administration training

Duration: 2 days

Course Outline This event in the series of training provides you with the necessary knowledge to install and configure an Alfresco server in your organization and perform all usual actions for administration, including database management, search configuration, user authentication, backup and restore, upgrades and daily tasks.
Includes: Labs

Objectives: Provide in-depth knowledge of the solution and related technologies to enable IT personnel to install and configure an Alfresco server.

Customization training

Duration: 3 days

Course Outline: This event in the series of training provides you with the necessary knowledge to perform all of the common customization tasks such as integrating custom style sheets, writing your own processing pipelines, adding a custom Document Type and so on. It will also give you a detailed understanding of the Componize architecture and the open-standards that it is based on. You will also learn how to do more advanced customization tasks such as configuring metadata extractors, interceptors and synchronizers, adding support for specific link types and link properties and using the Componize extensions and APIs.
Includes labs and real-world examples.

Objectives: Provide in-depth knowledge of the solution and related technologies to enable partners and developers to perform customization.
