10:15 AM – “Using A DITA CMS to Better Understand and Manage your Content”

Frank Shipley, Chief Technology Officer, Componize

Once an organization makes the decision to shift to DITA, users must change the way they think about writing and managing their content.  Instead of hundreds of documents, you may  have thousands or tens of thousands of document components to manage in many different contexts, formats and languages.

Componize is the only component content management system that was specifically designed to help you manage your DITA XML content.  It helps you ensure you know what is being used, where, how, and by whom, real time.  This presentation demonstrates how you can spend less time organizing, searching for and reworking technical and training content, and more time creating real value through better reuse and faster, multi-channel production.

11:30 AM – Buffet Lunch

1:30 PM – Componize Tools & Training Session

This is an in-depth and hands-on training session for anyone interested in learning, in detail, how Componize works and can be used for their DITA XML content.  Participants will include individuals new to Componize but also some of our current and new customers and system integration partners.  The training will be lead by Componize CTO and the software’s creator, Frank Shipley.

The morning sessions will be particularly useful if you are:

  • In the technical/product documentation or e-learning industries,
  • Considering using DITA, or already using DITA,
  • Looking for a DITA XML CMS, or
  • Seeking an opportunity to network and Q&A with DITA/XML industry experts

If you would like a more in-depth tour and training session of Componize’s DITA CMS, you should also consider joining some of our clients and integration partners for the afternoon session.  But register soon, as space is limited.
