Componize is pleased to confirm large-scale adoption within the firm’s documentation team.
This month, a leading American multinational semiconductor company signed on with Componize DITA CMS, the most modern structured content management software available.
The firm, one of the largest suppliers of graphics processing units, had already tested Componize last year as the central motor of a more efficient and modern approach to managing the documentation critical to the sales and support of its Accelerated Processing Units (APUs).
Detailed technical documentation of semiconductors and processors may run in excess of 2000 pages for a single product. Before adopting Componize, the documentation team was forced to share the same document – or copies of the same document – to multiple writers and then spend extra time consolidating and updating multiple versions of the same draft.
“Componize offers us more flexibility and control in how we interact with our content management system and how we integrate it with our existing infrastructure.”
Thanks to Componize, the team now saves significant time and resources by working in parallel on various pieces of the same document. Updates to components of a document are automatic across all users, minimizing or eliminating completely the problem of multiple versions of the same document. In addition, Componize’s Open APIs allowed for the flexible customization to the complex IT infrastructure at the multinational technology giant.
A technical lead on the project summed up the decision by saying that, “Componize offers us more flexibility and control in how we interact with our content management system and how we integrate it with our existing infrastructure.”
Jean-Luc Borie, CEO of Componize said, “Today, content-heavy organizations need to maximize the possibilities for content reuse, multichannel publishing, productivity and quality improvements. We’re proud to be helping them achieve that goal.”
Componize is enterprise content management software that optimizes the collaborative production, management and publishing of high-volume, business-critical documents such as product documentation, e-learning content and legal documents. It allows large organizations to easily transition from time-consuming and error-prone document management to the latest in XML-based Component Content Management. Componize supports the latest DITA standard and is the most modern choice in DITA CMS. Componize is today modernizing business information management for SAP, NXP and Kaplan, among others.
